We have walked in the Kentuckiana Pride Parade since 2014 and it is always a really cool experience. Join us to WALK WITH TwN this year on June 16th beginning at 7:00pm.
Rules for the Pride Parade:
Participants should wear attire appropriate for a family atmosphere. Nudity is not permitted.
Do not interact with protesters. Immediately report incidents that could threaten the safety or positive atmosphere of the event to a parade coordinator. Parade coordinators will be in royal blue KPF committee polos.
Pay attention to and follow all instructions and directions given by parade coordinators.
Vehicles may not be unloaded at the Belvedere, but should continue past sixth street.
Under no circumstances may items be thrown to the crowd.
Keep at least 10 feet between your vehicle and the group ahead of you.
The beginning of the Parade, TBA
Parking will also be an issue most likely so it is recommended to go ahead and park near the Belvidere. There may be some parking available on the street but, again, most likely you will need to park in one of the garages near the Belvedere. Probably the best parking garage would be the PARK garage on 6th Street at 141 North 6th Street. You will be able to access the Festival from the elevator.
The walking distance between the Belvedere and Tryangles is a mile so plan accordingly. Ride sharing and such could be arranged on our Facebook Page.
Usually the weather is hot during the Pride Festival weekend so please dress accordingly but we do ask all walkers to wear purple if possible.
